Hearts for Haiti
The Student Leadership Team is a having a fund raiser for the children of Haiti - The SLT is selling paper hearts that can be purchased for $1,$5, $10 or $20. The goal is to raise $2010.00 by Thursday, Feb. 11th. The money raised will be going to 'Save the Children' which is providing food, water, medicine and child protection teams to the more than 2 million children affected by the earthquake. So far over $1700.00 has been raised. Activities during the week included:

Mrs. Cote has been selected by the Maine Association of Health Education, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance as the Health Education Teacher of the Year.. It is an honor to be selected out of all of the Maine health and physical education teachers. Congratulations Mrs. Cote.
Representatives from Apple Computer and the Maine Department of Education present the Apple Distinguished School Award to HMS. Frank H. Harrison Middle School was one of 18 schools selected for this award across the nation.
